Since being planted in the fall of 1937, ivy has been a notable part of the Cubs baseball experience at the Friendly Confines. From lush green as the season gets underway to deep red in time for the postseason, our legendary ivy-covered outfield wall is one of the most beloved elements of our majestic ballpark's history.
A limited quantity of 2,016 ivy leaves were carefully removed by the Wrigley Field grounds crew as part of our annual pruning process. They were then authenticated by MLB and placed in an acrylic display.
